Tasting

With a perfectly clear cherry red color, this wine is intensely fruity, with hints of fresh plum and red currant complemented by floral notes. The mouth is greedy and smooth, with a fresh balance. The tannins are already well melted, the texture subtle and pleasant. Built in a mellow register, it should seduce from its youth by its generosity.

Neal Martin The Wine Advocate

The 2014 Les Chemins de La Croix du Casse, the second label of La Croix du Casse, has a light tertiary, sous-bois driven bouquet that would benefit from more fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannin, moderate acidity, simple with a smooth black cherry and allspice finish that needs more delineation. Easy-drinking Pomerol.

Issue Date: 31st Mar 2017.
