Under the direction of Philippe Castéja, the team at Château la Croix du Casse draws on its experience at Châteaux TrotteVieille, 1er Grand Cru Classé Saint Emilion Grand Cru, and Domaine de l’Église, Pomerol comparable to the Grands Crus Classés, to improve the quality of the wines each year.
The team is made up of around ten people divided between the offices and the field. Thierry Ruban has been Administrative Director at the head office since 1994. Marie Leuret and Béatrice Frappé, who joined in 2018, support him in his duties.
At the Château, Christophe Dussutour has been Vineyard Manager since 1999. Since 2018, he has been supported by Valério Mortari, Cellar Master.
During certain periods of activity, the team is reinforced with seasonal workers.
After training in oenology at the Université Victor Segalen in Bordeaux, Thomas Duclos began his career in wine as co-director and oenologist at the Œnoteam oenology consultancy in Libourne. He advised a number of Châteaux on how to improve the quality of their wines.
Valérie Lavigne, Doctor of Oenology, now a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Oenology in Bordeaux and a trainer at the CIVB.
Axel Marchal, Doctor of Oenology since 2010 and lecturer at the Institut des Sciences et de la Vigne since 2013.
